R.I.P Biggie Smalls

Christ, I can't believe another year has gone by since my last RIP Biggie post. Where's the time going hey? Let's have a minutes silence for my big man. R.I.P Big Poppa, 15 years today!

Blonde & I till the day I die

It's probably pretty obvious being that I'm a Dead Barbie & all that, but I've been a blonde ever since I was able to tear open a box of home dye. Hair colour maintenance is a bit like a marriage isn't it. I've been forced to cheat at times when that bitch has acted up, like the time I wanted to touch up my roots the night before I went off to London Fashion Week & ended up with a bright orange centre parting. Episodes like that usually see me off for a quickie with red, brown or even lilac, but they've never satisfied me & within a few short weeks I'm usually back with my true love. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a blonde when you think of all the iconic blondes out there like Lil' Kim or Sisqo (is he still blonde? I fancied him when he was). Most of the baddest bitches of the moment are rocking blonde tresses. Take Daphne Guinness, Alice Dellal, Natasha Poly & Abbey Lee Kershaw. Their looks include avant garde, grunge & classically beautiful. They prove that blonde can be adapted to suit any personality. The new Garnier Nutrisse British Blondes collection offers a selection of shades to enable you to achieve whatever kind of blonde image you desire! Check out the video below & see which shade you will go this season!

Topshop celebrates it's 10th anniversary with Nick Knight & Karlie Kloss

I've never really got Karlie Kloss before. I've always thought she looked awkward next to the other established beauties we are used to seeing stomping down catwalks & posing in editorials. At least that was until I clapped eyes on this wonderful film by Nick Knight! Good old Nick & his magic lens has produced this film for Topshop to celebrate 10 years of designer collaborations along with its 10th anniversary as sponsor of NEWGEN. Kloss looks hot in this film as she struts about in past Topshop / designer collaborations including Richard Nicoll, Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou & a Dead Barbie's favourite Ashish! Check it out, it's well good.

Pamela Love A/W 12

This season I've been keeping check on the New York shows from the comfort of my laptop & to be honest so far nothing has really got my nips hard. I'm not sure if it all just seems a bit too wearable, or am I just hating because I know my current egg shaped body would look like a bag of balls in all of the looks? Probably! Anyway, thank the Lord for accessories & thank the Lord for Pamela Love. Her A/W 12 collection is a little different to the chunky, thug life bling I usually juice up for but the layering & metalwork here has got me wanting! These versatile pieces would work equally well layered over a scruffy t shirt, a chunky knit or even your favourite Saturday night slut dress. Fingers crossed I won't be a fat bastard for A/W 12, but just incase I am this is one collection I'll still be able to do. Safe!

Instyler Rotating Iron review

I'm not really sure what I was playing at when I agreed to test out the new Instyler. I'm not really renowned for my hair grooming. My tangled mess usually just gets piled into a messy bun on top of my head & before last weekend my hair probably hadn't seen a brush in about 6 months!
Anyway, whilst the boys were out of the house on Saturday I washed & actually brushed my hair & spent some time doing girl stuff. My Instyler had arrived with an instruction DVD to help me along with styling my hair so before I began I popped it in & watched it over a brew. It was pretty simple to follow & made the styles look easy to achieve, but you can get more help with styling techniques by taking a peak at some of the videos on www.youtube.com/instyleeurope  The Instyler was actually really easy to use & super fast at doing it's job. It has this crazy looking rotating cylinder that helped to make my locks actually shine & even I was able to create curls, straighten & add volume. When I have used hot irons to try & curl my hair in the past I've ended up in a right cack handed situation. I've never understood how girls manage to get curls with a rectangular straightener, but these hot irons made it mega easy.
Shockingly, I actually had a good time making myself look girly. The Instyler made it a pain free experience & changed me ever so slightly. I ended my afternoon by listening to R.Kelly (don't tell anyone) & swapping the Nike's for a pair of heels to wear on a date with the old man! Christ, who would have thought it!! I'd definitely recommend treating yourself or even asking Santa! Head to http://shop.instyler.co.uk/ to pick one up for yourself. The Instyler is £99.99 & includes free delivery, nice one!

For even more Instyler advice & tips you can follow them on twitter & Facebook

Martine Rose S/S 12

Do you think it would be ok if I took up skateboarding in my condition? I mean, you never see fat people skateboarding do you so maybe my new body shape just wouldn't get all that balancing right. If I am allowed to skate then I wanna hang out with these kids & wear Martine Rose S/S 12.
